Hyundai Grandeur EV Price and Concept Revealed

Updated: Nov 5, 2022

The Hyundai Grandeur EV is the second vintage electric vehicle from Hyundai after the electrified Pony. It follows the Pony's styling with subtle exterior lightning modifications, and it packs a futuristic interior. Its touch screen can even become a digital keyboard.

Concept car

The Hyundai Grandeur EV concept car has many similarities with the Ioniq 5 sedan. The Hyundai team, led by designers Sang-ah Ko, Lee Dong-won, and Woo-soon Choi, employed the same pixel lighting theme found in the Ioniq 5. LED headlights mimic the grille grid, and the interior looks like a futuristic jazz lounge, complete with a large touchscreen and a pixelated ring of lights.

The Grandeur has been updated for modern drivers, with a retro design and modern technologies. The interior has red velvet seats and leather trim, as well as a secret compartment for a watch. The Hyundai Grandeur EV concept car is expected to be a niche offering, not the main selling electric sedan.

EV version

The Hyundai Grandeur EV is a retro-inspired hybrid. It will be offered as an electrified variant of the seventh-generation Grandeur sedan in 2023. It's expected to be a niche offering, rather than a mainstream electric sedan. The Hyundai Grandeur will likely be a more expensive option than the regular Grandeur, and its price will likely be higher.

The Hyundai Grandeur EV features a unique and highly functional design. Its sleek exterior features pixelated LED lighting, a new silver trim, and an eggcrate grille. The interior is futuristic with an infinity mirror and big screen.

Interior

The Hyundai Grandeur EV's interior is rife with square holes that harken back to the EV design language of the Ioniq 5. The square holes are visible in the illuminated areas, as well as in the window switches and grille. The lighting also carries on this theme, with lounge-like infinity lights in the ceiling.

While Hyundai hasn't released any specific details regarding the electric powertrain of the Grandeur, we'll assume that it will be similar to its predecessor. It's also notable for its retro shell and futuristic interior. The Grandeur's screen can even be turned into a digital keyboard.
